The Good Lord and a Gun

It's been a long day, and I'm too drained to spend time writing. Got off work late, stopped at the feed store, mixed grain, admired my horse, and put his blanket on for the first time this season. It's supposed to drop to the low 40's tonight, and we're battling some weight loss (more on that tomorrow), so a little extra warmth is needed.

He's looking a bit rangy. He enjoys a good roll in the mud.

Since I'm lacking in anything meaningful, I will leave you with something that, for me at least, speaks volumes.

That is probably one of my favorite songs, and it's proven to be true in my little hometown in Ohio <3

What a warm looking blanket, and a rather good song.

40's? That's roughly what it is here pretty much every night.

Kelsey, I wouldn't be surprised if it's proven true in many a small town. And a few big ones too.

Birmingham: I don't consider the 40's to be cold either, but in this case Smokey can use the added help.

The song is not available in my country (Germany) but I love the way your life looks.

Every once in a while we all come up with a big ol' nuthin'. It's allowed. Keep doing what you're doing with the old guy, he'll be fine.

I just discovered your blog and love it - it's about everything I love too! Horses, nature, and a great sense of humor. You've also served our nation like my husband is doing right now, that means extra cudo's for you! I've added you to my favorite blogs list so I can come back every now and then to visit.

So the only reason I'm blogging is because I have to for a computer class I'm taking. I'll just say this....after seeing your blog, I actually considering actually coming on here more often. Good song by the way.

I stumbled across your blog in the noteworthy section of my dashboard. Being a life long horse lover myself I clicked and began to read on. I have to say I am hooked and will be following your blog from now on. Currently I do not have a horse on my own property as we just moved and we have not prepared our place for equine but you have provided me with the next best thing. Keep up the great work I look forward to reading more in the future.

Welcome to site, B&B! Nothing wrong with living a little vicariously through a blog. Check my reading list, there are quite a few horse bloggers who are very good reads.
