State of the Blog

After several (well, one anyway) inquiries into my well being, I thought I'd better check in.  Since I'm rather uninspired with respect to the written word, I'll catch up on my doings with pictures.

What I've been up to:

1.  Giving away a Bride.

2.  Riding to Elk Camp

3.  Coveting Appaloosa pack horses at elk camp:

4.  Returning from Elk Camp

5.  Giving away another Bride.

6.  Taking my rifle for a walk, and enjoying some fabulous views.

That about sums it up.  I know, I know...I lead a boring life.

But you didn't get to the $64,000 question: Did ya put any meat in the freezer?

Oh sure...call me out. The answer: not yet. But deer season only opened on Saturday.

The bride looks beautiful and you clean up real well, too. I love the mountain shots.

Wow, some gorgeous shots from you "boring" life :)

Been wonderin' about you. The expression on your face giving away the bride about says it all. Milestones for you. Glad to see you're getting time to ride and shoot things!

For someone with a so-called boring life it looks like you've been very busy.

Hey Buckskin! It's so good to finally hear from you! Congrats on the wedding...that's a big moment for sure. Looks like you're having fun getting out and about. I wouldn't call your life boring at all...it's the simple things that make life great. That's what I would rather read about any day. Hope to see more from you in the next little while....after hunting season of course. Post pics if you get something! (PS: Hubby got back from Iraq alive and well last month. Yay!)

Au contraire, Mon Ami. There are thousands of folks who love to have your "boring" life.

Congrats to your daughters!!

Finally! I was hoping I could root you out.

Great to hear from you!

So now the nest is empty, I bet that is a bit weird. Mine is semi empty, by that I mean, they could come back AT ANY TIME! Actually, I'm good with that.

I got lost in those photos, beautiful. I love it here!

What surprises me however, is that you have nothing to say about the friggin' squatters we have going on around here, there and everywhere.

Smokey sure looks good!

Looks like a wonderful "boring" life to me! Great pictures!

Ding, Ding! Buck gets the prize! He appears to be the first to realize that I gave away the Brides (plural).

All pictures are in chronological order.

Thank you everyone, and rest assured, the comment about boring was strictly tongue in cheek.

L&L: Glad to hear you are all back together again, safe and sound!

Mary: The nest isn't quite empty. Youngest daughter is a Senior in HS this year. And yes, we live in some of the most beautiful country in the world, IMHO. The photos do not do justice to the view that met my eyes up there.

For the most part, I try to keep my blog apolitical. As to the squatters, at least they are in Seattle, in good company.

Glad to hear you are all in one piece. You lead anything but a boring life. Two weddings in a row! You must be a proud father.

Hey! I figured out it was two brides, too!! Only I wasn't as fast as Buck. Story of my life.

Congratulations on/to both! I'm hoping I'm a few more years from it, but as you well know.. you sure can't control them at this age.

The Mountains look beautiful! And Smokey says what so great about Appy pack horses?! He is awesome!

Glad to see the pictures and the post.

AND thanks for the comment on my post. You're right. I can't imagine doing anything else. Of course, right now imagining is all I'm doing!! :)

Doesn't sound boring to me!

Wow! Your girls are beautiful. Looks like you held up well.
Congratulations.

Should we assume the new son-in-laws are alive and well or did they get "left" on that little walk with the rifle...? :)

Very beautiful horse! And you live in a great place, you should be thankful!

That is a really dangerous looking mountain, and I speak as one who spent many years on active volcanoes. I wouldn't turn my back on that one.
